2009 The Year of the Colt ...
Baariyah foaled a bay (grey) colt by Imperial Shehaab on May 23rd. We were very pleased with his quality and he showed a lot of promise to be a top show contender with his short, chisled head and big black eyes combined with lots of charisma, cockiness, and confidence. He was sold to Al-Jenan Farm and Stud Kuwait and not only showed well at the 2010 Egyptian Event but also at the 2011 Kuwait National Show. Click here for his foal video.
The surprise of the breeding season was the arrival of the twin colts by Imperial Mistaar x Azaamah on June 19th. Born bay (grey) and chestnut, these two siblings were strong and healthy from birth and were raised naturally by their mother along with receiving a healthy ration of foal feed. and also in a Russian all breed magazine. The Arabian Magazine, The Arabian Horse World in the September issue of Arabhorse.com. They were also featured in the Arkansas all The Horsemen's Roundup Magazine. Click here for foal video of Zaahir Staar who now resides in China!
A 4th colt would have been born here in 2009 to Imperial Sabreia who was sold to a breeder in Bahrain while in foal. She delivered a grey colt by AmirAlKamar for her new owner who was very pleased with his new addition. Words of wisdom ....breed for a great colt... pray for a filly!
A once-in-a-lifetime moment for Zajaddi Egyptian Arabians with the birth of undetected twin colts by Imperial Mistaar, and out of Azaamah, born June 2009. Pictured at just a few hours old, "the Queen" with her boys. Photo: Diana Cantey
2014 Foaling season ...
There is nothing more rewarding than when breeding season goes as planned, mares get in foal right away, pregnancies progress without a hitch, and rock star foals are born the next season without any adverse events along the way. We all know as breeders that this is not always the case but when it happens, we breathe a long sigh of relief, thank GOD for miracles and hope for a great future for that individual.
We have been very fortunate to have bred some quality foals over the past 15 years, each one leaves a little hoof print on your heart when they leave. Azaamah had an amazing filly by Aziim Al Amaar, and are thrilled with this little firecracker. Azaamah has been an outstanding producer of both colts and fillies - read more
Update: Azizah Z was sold to Saudi Arabia. Congrats to her new owners.
We wish them the best with this amazing filly.
2013 Another Great Colt for Baariyah ...
Baariyah foaled her 3rd colt in June, sired by Shaheen Al Waab. He was born on the night of the super moon! Shazaam came into the world with the "wow" factor. Very pretty and strong, he is the first of our Platinum Performance babies. We are impressed daily with how he is
growing and maturing. With a beautiful face, big black
eyes, and showy attitude, he will be a strong show
contender and future sire.
UPDATE: Congrats to the new owners of Shazaam Z!
Shazaam was shown to Silver Champion at Scottsdale
by Greg Hazelwood in the Egyptian Heritage Class.
He has also earned a Class A Jr. Champion title, both
with Tara Carpio Arabians.
2018 Breeding plans ...
Two special breedings were planned for this year, however Azaamah was not able to settle and since has been officially retired. We are super excited for the future foal of Shyna who is expecting her first one! She was bred to Latif KA, a stallion that I had seen photos of, studied the pedigree but it was not until I saw him in person that he exemplified what I was looking for to breed to Azaamah. He is impeccably bred, sired by Marquis I, (by Makhsous x Antigua Dance by Ruminaja Bahjat and out of the Maknificent KA daughter Aidahh KA. Her dam is a lovely daughter of Imperial Madheen, and descends from Amal Albadeia, tail female Saqlawiyah Jindraniyah of Ibn Sudan. The resulting pedigree of the future foal will boast of bloodlines from several breeding programs we have admired over the years - Imperial Egyptian Stud, Simeon Stud, Kehilan Arabians and in tribute, to Dr. Nasr's Albadeia...
Latif KA is feminine and refined, very correct and has produced champion offspring in the US and in Egypt. His foals are fiery, and he compliments Shyna very well. She is Ansata Nile Mist tail female. Foal due date June 5th....
The famous twins sired by Imperial Mistaar x Azaamah) received global attention as they were featured in The Arabian Magazine, Europe; as well as a few other publications including one in Russia.
Update:
Zaahir Staar, the grey prince earned a top five Futurity Colt honor at the 2011 Egyptian Event for his owner Salayel Arabians, KSA. He was later sold to a breeder in China.
Zaim Staar resides in Missouri and is a riding gelding and companion for Janasse Martin who adores him.
